Medication Refill & Prescription Requests

Need to order more medication for your pet?
If your pet is a current patient of Elgar Road Veterinary Hospital, you can request a medication refill by completing the form below.Â
Prescription medications can only be prescribed and supplied by a veterinarian for animals under their care. Regular veterinary checks are important to ensure your pet’s medication is still appropriate and that their health or treatment needs have not changed.Â
If you require medication urgently, please call the clinic on (03) 9899 9518 rather than submitting the online form. This is particularly important if your pet is going to miss a dose or you are travelling.Â
Before requesting a refill
As a general requirement, your pet must have had a veterinary health check within the past 6 months for us to continue supplying prescription medication. Some medical conditions may require more frequent examinations, monitoring or blood tests.Â
If your pet is due for a check-up or blood tests, we may need to see them before we can authorise further medication.Â
Please also let us know if you have noticed any changes in your pet’s health, behaviour, appetite, drinking, urination or anything else that concerns you. Changes in your pet’s health may mean their medication or dose needs to be reviewed.Â
How to request a refill

- We will contact you by SMS when your medication is ready for collection.

- Special-order or compounded medications may take longer to obtain and will require payment at the time of ordering - we will call you know if this applies to your order.

Medication Refill Request Form
Important information –Â Submitting a refill request does not automatically mean that medication will be authorised. All prescription medications must be reviewed and authorised by a veterinarian, and we may need to contact you or arrange an appointment if your pet requires a health check or further monitoring.Â
