Cattery & Cat Boarding near Canterbury

Elgar Road Vet proudly offers friendly and expert cattery services to the local Canterbury area.

Elgar Road Vet is the perfect place to find a loving and secure cattery service near Canterbury and nearby communities.

For more than a quarter of a century, our team has been offering cat boarding services, giving your feline companions a place to stay whether it's for a short or long period.

HISTORY

D.B. Boarding was first started when a young vet nurse named Devon Bayly saw the need for a cat boarding service amongst the veterinary clientele. Since those early days almost nothing has changed. The idea of providing a safe, comfortable, caring environment for cats when they are away from home remains strong.

Cat Boarding near Canterbury

ETHOS

At our facility, our staff is dedicated to providing the best possible care for cats in the Canterbury area. We take pride in getting to know each feline and making sure their unique needs are met. Whether your cat prefers basking in the sun, getting chin rubs and headbutts, being independent and aloof, or chasing water droplets around the sink, we can cater to their needs. Our experienced and knowledgeable team closely monitors each boarder for any signs of distress. If necessary, we offer extra attention, a change in food, or a visit to the vet to ensure the well-being and happiness of our clients' beloved pets.

FOOD

At D.B. Boarding, we recognise that cats are creatures of habit, and keeping to their home diet is essential. That's why we request that our clients provide us with their cat's dietary preferences on our Admission Form to maintain their routine and minimise disruptions.

Our facility provides premium feline diets, such as Advance, Hills Science and Hills Prescription Diets, Royal Canin Veterinary diets, and an extensive range of Whiskas soft food to cater to your cat's dietary needs.

We understand that some cats can be fussy eaters. To ensure their comfort, we kindly request that clients bring along their cat's preferred diets.

MEDICATION

Our team is trained to care for cats with special needs, including those on medication for hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, or kidney and urinary tract issues. Our on-site veterinary clinic located within the cattery premises enables our duty veterinarian to attend to any emergencies or issues promptly.

At D.B. Boarding, a medication surcharge ranging from $1.50 to $3.00 per day applies to cats with special requirements that need medication. We also offer care for diabetic cats. Please contact us via phone or email for further information.
