Tara
Vet Nurse
Tara has been working at Elgar Road Vet since 2021. She started her veterinary nursing career in 2004, completing her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2012. She has now been nursing for 22 years and couldn’t imagine doing any other job.
Everyday is a joy to get up and go to work. She loves bonding with the clients and their pets and has a passion in making sure they feel understood and comfortable visiting the vet.
Tara lives at home with her little rescue cat “Mei Mei” who she adopted in 2020 during the start of COVID and slowly but surely started ruling the house. She also has a love of Greyhounds after having multiple adoptees over the years. Currently with two boys “Tango” and “Silver” still causing ruckus at mum and dads.
Tara is always happy to welcome any client and pet to the clinic and always up for a chat.

Mei Mei
My name is “Mei Mei” I was adopted by my fur mum Nurse Tara from the Coldstream Animal Aid. She was told I was a shy older girl who needed a quiet home. But since coming to my forever home and having the courage to be myself, turns out I’m not as old as they thought I was and I totally rule the house. Now sports the name “Princess Mei Mei”
